About Me

 I find my identity in family. Apart from the family context, it doesn't make much sense.

Dad, Mom and me in 1942.

I have three younger sisters.
Here are Maggie, Barbara, me and Clara.

I married Sylvia in 1961.

We have two sons, Bryant and Scott;
a daughter-in-law, Barbara
and a granddaughter, Briana.

Sylvia and I are graduates of Michigan State University. We have lived in our native Michigan, Connecticut, Costa Rica and Ecuador. We speak English and Spanish and are active in our local church.

My work career was mostly related to electronics, with jobs in broadcasting, 2-way radio and IBM. The last 20 years of work were with ARRL, the national organization for Amateur Radio operators. ARRL is headquartered in Newington, Connecticut. (I was able to work the final year from our present home in west Michigan.)

I officially retired April 1, 2001. I still keep busy with plenty to do here at the computer, outdoors and at church. Life is good.
